The Cully Jazz festival has a non-lucrative goal, managed by an organisational committee composed of eleven persons, supported by an active cultural foundation, in the heart of a magnificent viticultural region a few km from Montreux
The 2009 edition will take place March 27th – April 04th 2009. This major event on the Swiss jazz calendar is respecting the spirit of jazz. More than 30 concerts are planned in three different places: the Chapiteau (heated tent), the Salle Davel, named the Next Step at the time of the Festival, and the Church of Cully.
More than 70 free performances are given in 11 local wine cellars and intimate pubs of the village. The Cully Jazz Festival annually welcomes more than 40’000 visitors. During 9 days, the charming village of Cully is transformed into a real little jazz paradise! The international program features famous jazz musicians from all over the world as well as it encourages young talent, first productions as well as special projects.
