Swiss National day in Montreux - August 01st 2009

Does Switzerland has a long history ????? Definitively yes - The national day which takes place on August 01st was chosen in 1291 when 3 Alpine cantons swore the oath of confederation.

The program of August 01st 2009 looks really great:
* From 10am: opening of the food & beverage stands on the lakeside
* From 11:15am - 12am: Parade fanfare on the main street up to the "Place du Marché"
* From 11:30am: Aperitif offered by the city
* 7:15pm: Fly show with the patrol Breitling Jet team
* 10:15pm : official speech
* 10:30pm - 11pm : fire work on the lake
