Located a few kilometers from Montreux, the Chillon Castle is a beautiful medieval castle. It is the most visited historic monument.
This beautiful medieval castle is over 1000 years old and has always inspired artists and writers like Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hogo or Lord Byron.
To reach the castle you can walk (7 km) through the lake shore. If you sleep in a hotel in Montreux you will get the Riviera card which will allow you to reach the castle by bus for free and to get a 50% discount on the entrance fee.
