A Great Award for Montreux Riviera

Montreux Vevey Tourism started to work a couple of years ago on the rebranding of the region in order to better position the Swiss Riviera on the tourism market.

This long work was finalized with a new brand (Montreux Riviera) & logo, a new graphic chart and a better way to communicate.

On November 17^th 2009, at the Kultur-Casino in Bern, Montreux Riviera won the first distinction of the Milestone 2009, in the “remarkable project”.

The Milestone is a Swiss competition that awards all the best tourism projects.

Montreux Sundance 2010

With 14'000 clubbers during the 1^st edition, 15’000 during the second edition and 16’000 in 2009, the Montreux Sundance became in a few years a major event in Montreux.

The Montreux Sundance 2009 is also for a couple of months a CD signed by TBA and available everywhere.

Dates for the 2010 are already known. It will take place May 20-23^rd 2010, so be ready to party again !!!

On Friday 21st, there will be the amazing sound and light show: TIESTO, KALEIDOSCOPE WORLDTOUR.

Below you will find the poster of this 4^th edition of the Montreux Sundance. As you can see, David Guetta, Martin Solveig, Joachim Garraud are already confirmed.

Montreux Jazz festival 2010 - First news

As I mentioned in a previous article, the Montreux Jazz festival 2010 will take place July 02-17th 2010. If I do not mistake a few artists are already annonced like Simply Red.

A few days ago I received a newsletter from them showing us the new poster of this 2010 edition. It was created by Mr Romero Britto, a brasilian artist who currently lives in Miami. He is nowadays one of the most famous Neo-Pop artist who does sculptures and paintings.
He already created the poster of the Montreux Jazz festival 1999 and created the Montreux Sound Logo.

Roch Voisine at the Hotel Royal Plaza Montreux

Last week, Roch Voisine stayed in our hotel because of the concert he performed at the Auditoirum Stravinski.

I was lucky to get some tickets to go to the concert that was just amazing, completely packed with a great atmosphere. Moreover I had the chance to take a photo with him in the lobby.
He was very kind, smiling, simple and agreed very easily to do the photo.

I wished all stars would be that nice !!!

New Card at the restaurant Bellagio & Sinatra's bar

From November 11th 2009, the restaurant Bellagio and the Sinatra's bar, both located at the Hotel Royal Plaza Montreux offer new restaurant menus with seasonal products.

Prepared by our new Chef, Mr Emmanuel Colier, this new menu is proposing classic dishes but mixed with some exotic touches like the Rolled smoked salmon served with wasabi milk, enoki and sprouts.

Before to join the Royal Plaza Montreux, Emmanuel Colier worked in France for several michelin star restaurants. We are sure that Emmanuel will help us to reach a new level of food quality.

I personnally tasted last week the "baked chicken breast" and that was amazing. I could easily cut the meat with a fork......the secret seems to be the cooking at low temperature !!!!
I will try to convince him to give us some recipes that I will of course share with you.
